Erik Oldham, who once owned and operated A+ Athletics in Centennial, Colorado, has been found guilty of multiple child sexual assault charges.
When he was arrested in May 2022, several counts were brought against Oldham, including:
- Sexual assault of a child (multiple counts)
- Sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust
- Unlawful sexual contact
- Enticement of a child
- Criminal attempt
During arraignment, Oldham pleaded not guilty to all nine charges that were brought against him, a position that he maintained throughout his criminal trial that began in 2024. On April 5, a jury found him guilty (specific guilty counts have not been released to the public yet), though, and he now awaits sentencing while being held no-bond at Arapahoe County Jail.
Although Oldham has been tried and found guilty of child sexual assault, criminal investigators do not think his case is entirely complete. The investigation against him began in 2021 only after a victim made a complaint that was brought to the attention of law enforcement. Based on the original victim’s statements and Oldham’s behavior, investigators believe there may be many other victims who have not yet come forward. If more victims decide to speak up, which may take some time due to the harrowing nature of child sex abuse, it could start additional criminal cases against Oldham, each with the potential for future convictions and penalties.
