About Michael Nimmo
Experienced Advocate for Victims of Sexual Abuse & Assault
Attorney Michael Nimmo has received multiple large settlements for the survivors of sexual assault and child sex abuse. His experience is largely in the realm of clergy/church abuse and school-related abuse.
He is currently representing over 160 survivors who were sexually abused by an athletic doctor at the University of Michigan. Mr. Nimmo’s relentless advocacy for these individuals has been covered by outlets including the New York Times, The Associated Press, ESPN, The Michigan Daily, The Detroit News, and WNEM TV5 Michigan.
Mr. Nimmo offers a sympathetic approach backed by fearless advocacy. His hard work has earned him awards including The Colorado Trial Lawyers Association’s “New Lawyer of the Year” in 2014. He has also become a trusted voice in the legal community: Along with being elected President of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association for 2019-2020, many professional organizations throughout the state have invited him to lecture to trial lawyers. He has also testified in front of the Colorado Senate, advising lawmakers as they crafted Senate Bill 88, which gives the survivors of child sexual abuse more time to pursue justice.
